With the short story gaining ground in popularity in the UK, Sardines and Oranges, short stories from North Africa, is a timely publication for both the Africa 2005 cultural events and the Save Our Short Story campaign. The volume of twenty-six hard-hitting, passionate, moving, funny and human short stories by twenty-one authors was made possible by support from the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham through their Strategic Initiatives Fund.
